What will definitely
get one craving for more is the exquisite array of food, prepared by Yusmar Yusof (one of the partners) herself, who
seems to have a natural affinity for the kitchen. Passion, natural instincts and a drive to exceed expectations tied up with
love is what motivates the owners. Their craving to offer the best fires up their drive and thus, good food is their commitment.
The menu includes a wide range of local and international fare and the prices are reasonable – without putting too much
of a dent in the wallet.
The Fettucine Aglio
Olio is highly recommended. It tastes like an indulgence with its rich, buttery taste and robust earthiness from the
olive oil itself. There is also a hint of chilli flakes which help spice up this dish.
The salmon pasta tops
that, simply put. Chunks of pan-fried salmon cooked in a rich, tomato cream based sauce – every mouthful was a decadent
experience. Another favourite is the marinara linguini - not too sweet, not too sour, not too thick and not too thin –
and yet, still with a rich, tomato flavour.
The Penne Carbonara
Con Funghi comes with an option of chicken or beef bacon and this is a must for those who want the richness of a cream based
pasta and still want room for dessert.
Another must-try is
the Gambas, which is an appetizer. Food for the Gods. Perfectly cooked prawns entwirled in a rich garlic cream sauce served
with homemade bread, this dish tastes as good as it looks and will not result in disappointment. That’s a promise.
If at all one has to
have only one dish, then the Seafood Splendour should be it. A Royal Splendour made up of grilled fillet snapper, squid, mussels and prawns
drizzled with sweet, Thai chilli sauce and topped with Cravings special garlic cream sauce. Every mouthful is a moment in
itself this dish does a little dance in the mouth and plays with the palate. One has to be in total experience when consuming
this splendour as it is simply pleasurable.
For those who want
to watch their figure, you will not be deprived. The pan fried snapper with lemon butter garlic sauce is a haven for weight-watchers.
A sliver of lemon is daintily propped up on the fillet, lending a succulent feel to the dish.
However, one cannot
leave without having tasted the bread and butter pudding. It must be noted that this dessert is a personal triumph for the
chef, and would put a smile on anyone’s face. This dish cannot be described in words – it has to be experienced.
The brownies topped
with vanilla ice-cream is another favourite, and watch out, because you might get infected and come back for more.
Cravings basic undertone
is light but very, very rich in taste – and each mouthful will certainly make one crave for more. The well presented
food pleasantly progresses from palate-teasing to wholesome, comfort food in a second, just like a marriage made in heaven.
Cravings is definitely out to change your dining perception with its myriad of tastes.
